This is such a peculiar film. I can't say that I didn't like it, but at the same time, I can't say it made me jump for joy. It's like this is the precursor to Flash Gordon. It's a film that straddles the line between serious sci-fi and comedic space opera, and that suits it quite well. The characters are good and well-acted for the needs of the film.
