Shigeo Arikawa

Shigeo Arikawa (b. 1982, Tokyo) is an artist and filmmaker based in his hometown. In his work he starts from the media of photography and video to investigate the limits of sensory perception. His films have screened around the world, and he has also shown his pieces at the Venice Biennale. In 2014 he took on a residency at Amsterdam's Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten. Selected filmography: Moss of Time (2006), Her Ironical Me (2008), and G I (2011).
