She studied at the National School of Film and Theater in Bucharest. She has directed the short films Milky Way, Pizza Love and Afterparty, as well as the documentary Turn Off The Lights which was awarded with the Prize for Best Documentary in Sarajevo. Her first feature-length fiction film premiered in 2017 in Toronto and San Sebastian, where it was given a special mention. She has also starred in Radu Jude's Scarred Hearts. Ivana the Terrible, which she directs and stars in, premiered at the Locarno Festival, where she won the Special Jury Prize in the Cineasti del Presente section.
