A charming film with the young Marika Rökk and the likable Hans Söhnker. Marika as Maria Seydlitz is heading for a career in America and on the way she will be treated to one interesting musical or movement number after another. It took until the war for her to mature, but it was already clear that a new big star had been confirmed. The film also features the cutest bear scene in world cinema and it pays off, as does the heightened attention when watching Marika's pleasant order clerk. ()
