OK, but why? A simple concept handled as one expects, without any fresh or stimulating flourishes. The synopsis above sums it up nicely, after watching this 86-minute film I don't feel I have a richer experience than after reading those two sentences. (56th KVIFF)

That people are cruel to each other and to their animal companions today and every day, we know, it's nothing new under the sun, so I'm glad that Jerzy Skolimowski was at least conscious and didn't stretch his film unnecessarily for more than an hour and a half. If only other festival filmmakers had the same amount of sense… [KVIFF 2022]
