Troubled Mateo (15), shoulders responsibility for his siblings when their father vanishes. A fatal encounter with schoolmate Gerald propels him into the criminal underworld under a barely known Berto's guidance. As Mateo becomes entrenched in violence and despair, Berto becomes a father figure, revealing life's harsh truths. Amid betrayal and loss, Mateo spirals into darkness, culminating in a tragic downfall, losing himself to violence and despair on his journey into the abyss. (Zlín Film Festival)
