Vaterland: A Hunting Logbook is sort of an experiment with the good actors Roden and Forman, with a good hunting scene, decent music... and the rest is bad. The idea was commendable, to make "something that is not filmed in the Czech Republic", but the result is a camp fable from an indeterminate time and place, which (apart from the aforementioned hunt) looks amateurish, and I'm not sure that was the intention. Long and boring. That’s too bad. Perhaps I expected too much. ()
