Apprentice to Murder

It's pennsylvania Dutch country, 1928 and 16 yr old Billy, fascinated by amysterious traveling preacher with healing talents, enters int a strange apprenticeship with him. Dr. Reese develops a hold over the boy that becomes increasingly powerful, and eventually he halts Billy and his girlfriends plans to start a new richer life in Philadelpia. Suddenly, a deadly, unexplained blight sweeps through the farmlands and Reese, believing that a local hermit has been casting the plaque of evil spells and hexes, takes Billy with him to put on end to the hermit's curses.
