In a corner of a 14th century ballroom, a pampered court dwarf doggedly defends his seat in the sun. The immobile camera turns the frame into a sort of cage where the dwarf is trapped in a mortal struggle with himself, his surroundings and rival. (British Film Institute (BFI))
