Gary Shaller (Martin Freeman) está numa encruzilhada: seu trabalho não o leva a lugar algum, está com 34 anos e sua esposa, Dora (Gwyneth Paltrow), o enlouquece. Além disto Paul (Simon Pegg), seu melhor amigo, parece fazer mais sucesso a cada dia que passa. Gary sente-se deprimido e rejeitado, até conhecer Anna (Penélope Cruz). Ela é bela, sexy, elegante e, literalmente, a mulher dos seus sonhos. I knew how it would turn out from the conversation in the mattress shop... But I was still surprised and touched by the ending. In short, an original film that entertained and moved me.__P.S. I was amused when Simon Pegg asked Martin Freeman in the bookstore what they were doing in "this hobbit hole".
