The Mystery Date Observation (2015) (S09E08)

inglês Gotta say, the episodes still don't hit the original humor levels, but I had a blast watching this one. The fight over Sheldon, especially the outcome, was simply hilarious. The stalking was a bit meh, but gotta give credit – even that had its moments, making it one of the more entertaining female storylines in a while. / Lesson learned: Groupies know how to get what they want. 4*+ ()

The Platonic Permutation (2015) (S09E09)

inglês The last episode was way more enjoyable than this one, which got too wrapped up in relationship drama, forgetting to throw in the usual geeky stuff. Sure, Sheldon's word game had some potential, but it was only a small chunk of the whole twenty-minute episode – not enough to salvage the situation. / Lesson learned: Don't eat hagfish. ()

The Earworm Reverberation (2015) (S09E10)

inglês Episode ten didn't amount to much but Sheldon was so off-the-charts annoying that I had to give credit where it's due. Other than that, the plot was pretty meh. It's like the creators are stuck in a loop, going in circles around the same old topic for way too many episodes, like a fly buzzing around a giant pile of you-know-what. / Lesson learned: Sharing a roof with a multi-instrumentalist must be a special kind of hell. ()

The Opening Night Excitation (2015) (S09E11)

inglês The episode had a bunch of highlights. Sheldon's character development, which usually bugs me, turned out to be surprisingly entertaining this time. The way his storyline connected with the premiere events was pretty cool too. Another highlight was Wil Wheaton showing up at that Star Wars premiere – loved it. On the flip side, the whole Arthur Jeffries thing is getting old. He used to crack me up, but now it's just meh. / Lesson learned: You never know what life may bring. ()

The Sales Call Sublimation (2016) (S09E12)

inglês I gotta say, the first half of the ninth season is much better than the eighth. Episode twelve wasn't the creators' A-game, but hey, I've seen worse from them. The storyline with Stuart and the Wolowitzs was a bit of a letdown though. Lesson learned: Steer clear of bad deals. ()

The Empathy Optimization (2016) (S09E13)

inglês The theme was decent, and the execution wasn't bad, but the problem is that the creators didn't add anything extra, making it a bit of a lackluster episode. And I'm getting seriously irked by the same old recycled stuff that seems to pop up solely because the show's creators are either too lazy or just can't think of anything original. / Lesson learned: Passive aggression can take you far. ()

The Meemaw Materialization (2016) (S09E14)

inglês This episode was even worse than the lackluster one before. Most of the humor fell flat on me, and there wasn't enough geekiness to make up for all the relationship drama. Even Sheldon's new toy train couldn't rescue the situation, especially since he didn't bother taking it out of the box. Talk about isappointing. / Lesson learned: Don't overestimate your strengths and abilities. ()

The Valentino Submergence (2016) (S09E15)

inglês I mean, I knew Valentine's Day wouldn't be my jam, but I wasn't ready for such a serious lack of humor and decent ideas. Mea culpa. / Lesson learned: Approach wild animals well-armed. ()

The Positive Negative Reaction (2016) (S09E16)

inglês Major bummer. The creators ditched humor for a heavy dose of melodrama, and let me tell you, it was a giant misstep. On top of that, it's pretty evident which way the next plot is headed, and everything I liked about the series is getting shoved to the side. Looks like it's gonna be all about relationships and the joys of reproduction. Yay, just what I was hoping for... / Lesson learned: You don't pee in the kitchen. Unless it's the War of the Roses. ()

The Celebration Experimentation (2016) (S09E17)

inglês After enduring the Valentine's vibes in the last episode, I barely had time to recover before the birthday party hit. Same old story, playing on emotions, steering clear of humor, and Christine Baranski felt like she wasn't even there. Honestly, not much to enjoy here. / Lesson learned: There's always someone eager to celebrate your birthday against your will. ()

The Application Deterioration (2016) (S09E18)

inglês This was a pleasant surprise. The episode wasn't mind-blowing or anything, but at least I had a bit of fun again. Sheldon's contracts always deliver, and even Raj's situation managed to coax a chuckle out of me. / Lesson learned: Don't go anywhere without a notary. ()

The Solder Excursion Diversion (2016) (S09E19)

inglês The ninth season is taking another nosedive. This episode didn't serve up much that even remotely tickled my funny bone. Seems like the show's creators have used up all their bullets, and now they're just firing blanks. / Lesson learned: If you don't have enough space, brace yourself for a tough internal struggle. ()

The Big Bear Precipitation (2016) (S09E20)

inglês I gave it my best shot to find something to crack up about, but alas, it was a futile quest. Sure, there were a couple of moments that got a smirk out of me (like the drinking game), but genuine laughter? Nope. The episode just didn't click for me, and the plot felt kind of uninspired. / Lesson learned: The truth can be a heartless bitch. ()

The Viewing Party Combustion (2016) (S09E21)

inglês Have the creators miraculously dug out that last bit of creativity? I had a surprisingly good time with this episode. Philosophical debates on comics always get me. It makes questions about falling trees and eggs/chickens seem almost trivial. / Lesson learned: Got a severe allergy? You're living life on the edge. ()

The Fermentation Bifurcation (2016) (S09E22)

inglês Pretty much the only standout moment for me was the hangout between Sheldon and Bernadette. But that couldn't carry the entire episode, so now I'm not sure if I wasn't too generous with my rating. / Lesson learned: In wine there's truth. And sometimes bits of cork too. 2*- ()

The Line Substitution Solution (2016) (S09E23)

inglês I'll give credit where it's due – the creators had some good ideas this time around. Sheldon stole the show, standing up not just for his rights but for the rights of all his fellow queuers. On the other hand, Dr. Beverly left me a bit disappointed because she wasn't as sharp as I'd seen her before. ()

The Convergence Convergence (2016) (S09E24)

inglês There's a lot of weird stuff happening in the world, much of it unexplainable or just plain confusing, and now I'm adding my rating of this episode to the mix. Thankfully, it wasn't so much about a wedding, it was rather about a gathering of people with wildly different takes on life and each other. Still a relationship drama, but one I could actually get into. / Lesson learned: Choose your dinner guests wisely. ()

Season 10 (2016) (S10)

inglês It's official. Season 10 has become the worst season of this once-great show for me. The creators seemed to have decided to forget everything that was good about the show, and went the way many sitcom creators have gone before them. I don't have anything against sitcoms about relationships, but I was watching this one because I expected something completely different from it. / Lesson learned: Have you been disappointed? Keep calm and carry on. ()

The Conjugal Conjecture (2016) (S10E01)

inglês The episode kept the vibe from the ninth-season finale, but gotta admit, I enjoyed it slightly less. The cast was still solid, no complaints there, but the creators seemed to be pushing it a bit too much. Some jokes had this cringey tone that didn't quite land. Shoutout to Keith Carradine though – he was great. / Lesson learned: Master the art of navigating awkward silences. That's how you become a star. ()

The Military Miniaturization (2016) (S10E02)

inglês I liked the potential army gig and Sheldon's pantomime had me cracking up, but, no surprise, the bulk of the episode circled back to relationships and pregnancy – not exactly why I signed up for. / Lesson learned: Get your concepts and priorities sorted out. ()
