Noto, Mandorli, Vulcano, Stromboli, Carnevale

Five views of Sicily: a return to Noto, one of the locations chosen for the film L’avventura; disquieting views of the volcanos Stromboli and Vulcano; the charming countryside with blossoming almond trees on the slopes of Noto; and a carnival in Acireale. The film was made for the Italian pavilion at the Seville Expo ’92. (Karlovy Vary International Film Festival)
