North-East Congo, the region known as the "bowl".
Situated in the heart of a marshy floodplain and because of the equatorial climate, this area is immersed over 150 days per year.

In the center, Mossaka. Since 1912, this marshy city's is the main one of the district and became the administrative center.
Here, there is no other way to move than the river and the wilderness has penalized the access to the development in which the country committed since independence in 1960.
Yet it is the mark of progress and of human genius, who, in recent years, upsetting the fate of the bowl.
