Le Voyage extraordinaire

An extraordinary documentary presenting the crucial moments in the life of Georges Mélies. Its main contribution is the reconstruction of the difficult process of discovering the coloured version of A Trip to the Moon and its painstaking and complicated restoration. Not many people can probably imagine how exactly an incomplete film, which has fallen into pieces, can be restored. Thanks to the collaboration of French and American specialists, a small miracle happened. (Summer Film School)
