Young, beautiful, and sentenced to death. Robert Glinski's film is a brave attempt at a new adaptation of a story everybody knows in Poland. Glinski tries to narrate the traditional topic in the language of modern cinema, making it attractive for today's viewers. The story of teenagers whose dreams are destroyed by war, yet who try to survive the unexpectedly brutal passage to adulthood, stirred up a lot of controversy – especially for the attempt to maximally liken the young war generation through mentality and way of speech to the youth of today.
