inglês I hadn’t expected it, but this politician’s story shocked me. The name of the series suggests that the story of this politician won’t be ordinary. It’s also true that not all politicians are bastards, there are people among them who really want to do good for others. And Nick Wasicsko was something like that. Unfortunately, what happened was that politics knocked him down morally and psychologically, and it was incredibly depressing to watch this character portrayed by the excellent Oscar Isaac. So depressing that it all ended up the only way it could. HBO once again showed us what they can do. There were political bits that were a bit boring, but other than that, nothing worth criticizing. inglês The only thing that bothered me here - the material and the number of destinies would suffice for ten episodes, and the pace is sometimes very "choppy". But the decision to make it a miniseries is understandable. What appears to be a comprehensive probe into the social policy of the city of Yonkers is in fact an analysis of one man's psychology. And thanks to the fantastic performance of Oscar Isaac, one only realizes this when the first scene gets quite a depressing and overwhelming feel at the end. ()
