The young architect, Mátray Miklós is planning a house for Bálint Kázmér's daughter, Klári, who is getting married. While planning Miklós and Klári discover that they are in love with each other. Klári, however, is not willing to break up her engagement. Miklós is trying to forget in a bar, where he meets Lola, the singer. Lola would like him to marry her. She threatens to kill herself and then pretends to be pregnant. By now Klári is free again. When the threesome meet, Lola falls into the Danube and drowns.
