What is it like living in a place designed to be the ideal housing for all types of families? In this documentary diary, the directors invite their viewers to visit 8 House – a gigantic housing complex in southern Copenhagen. The building, by the world-famous Danish architectural studio the Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), has a figure-8 layout; the courtyards are accessible to all of the inhabitants and are designed in a way that ensures the residents meet each other often. Actually, it is a unique village that is not randomly spread out in the landscape, but rather vertically layered in one residential complex.
