Set in an idyllic mountain town overrun by migrant oil workers from a nearby fracking facility and swamped by a rising tide of crime, Tin Star tells the emotionnaly charged and sometimes funny tale of Jim Worth (Tim Roth), a good-humored, teetotal family man and zealous police chief, whose peaceful life is shattered when a newly arrived gang of criminals murder his infant son in a botched attempt to assasinate him. This act – and the shameful responsibility Jim bears for his own cowardice when he ducks to avoid the assassins bullet combined with his refusal to aknowledge the past triggers Jim's alchoholism. And Jim's alcholism takes the form of an alter-ego: a hard-drinking, charming, deceitful and ruthlessly violent past self, called Jack Devlin. (HBO Europe)

Subterranean Fire (2019) (S02E08)
So, in the five episodes of the second season, I had to watch Ann's resistance to her parents slowly morph into hatred (just because she occasionally kills someone). This hormone-fueled teenager then pulls off a major emotional twist, bringing the family together, only for me to realize that watching the previous episodes was a total waste of time.

Wild Flower (2019) (S02E09)
The ninth episode could’ve been titled, “Rosa is dead, so we mourn.” Honestly, the overly sentimental scenes felt awkward and did absolutely nothing for me.

The Unseen (2019) (S02E10)
To be fair, it could have been a lot worse, but it still didn't hit the mark for me. It had the potential to be an awesome action-packed finale, but the characters' dumb decisions during the shootout really ruined it for me.
