Flights to Mars went out of fashion years ago. Now the only reminder of these ambitious trips is an abandoned base inhabited by a very lonely robot. The silence and tranquility of the red planet is eventually disturbed, however, by a privately-funded Czech crew, whose members have taken on the mission for very different reasons. The trip’s patron, for example, is trying to fulfill a promise to his fiancée by marrying her right on the Martian surface… A romance, moments of absurd comedy, and an existential take on colonizing outer space – all this is the unique Czech motion picture Trash on Mars, set inside an authentic simulated Mars habitat. Do you know how to artificially increase the percentage of movie ratings here on FilmBooster? Very easy. Upload three five-star reviews in a row from freshly created profiles, each of which has only one single review, preferably around three in the morning, so that no one notices. That viewers of Mars, or perhaps fans of Benjamin Tuček, quite by chance, get together in the wee hours, after, quite by chance setting up accounts with a rating of around 200 late at night, so that they can verbally rate, and the first comment they write is on Mars, and everyone agrees on the rating? And they just happened to do it 20 minutes of each other? Really? I'm a night owl, and I couldn't miss this tonight. It's terribly funny and I'm just asking myself a question and it should be asked by Mr. Benjamin Tuček or his supporters: are these shenanigan necessary? :o)

Uma treta confusa, mal narrada e incrivelmente incoerente, sem enredo. É tão epicamente mal-feito em todos os sentidos, desde a direção e atuação até à edição desastrosa e aos diálogos fracassados, que talvez possa ser recomendado como uma bizarrice interessante, mas, de outra maneira, não. Apenas cerca de cinco das piadas são relativamente decentes, e todo o resto do humor falha tanto a marca que muitas vezes nem sequer é claro qual era suposto ser o humor. Nem sequer consigo decidir corretamente o que chamar a cereja imaginária em cima desta estupidez absurda - o narrador estilizado de cowboy, o terrível inglês de todos os protagonistas, ou melhor, a reviravolta final, que, apesar de virar toda a ação anterior sobre a sua cabeça, mas porque nenhum dos personagens reage a ela, acaba por lentamente desaparecer quase sem ser notada.
