The accent and the familiar tones, the old friends and acquaintances, assault her. The young ones life subjected to the old one’s censorship. The predictability she fled from. There isn’t nostalgia and the rootlessness doesn’t overwhelm her. Her dry reactions find a reflection in the simple precision of the takes and the staging. Her mother has died, she most take charge and sell the family business, a grocery store. But she hasn’t returned to stay. (Gijón International Film Festival)
