With a career alternating fiction and documentaries and that is getting closer to twenty films, Jan Ijäs is one of the great figures of Finnish cinema, although he often prefers to get inspiration from other territories to film, like New York, Lampedusa, Sierra Nevada, or, like in this case, Zimbabwe, where the gigantic dollar devaluation has served to show us the most shocking images (a woman in a village wearing a dress made of dollar bills) and to reflect about the limits and consequences of capitalism.
