Blanca Luz Brum toured an unusual way across the 20th century, participating actively in the intellectual, political and artistic vanguard movements in Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, Peru and Mexico. Disciple of the peruvian philosopher José Carlos Mariátegui, lover and muse of muralist David Alfaro Siqueiros, admired by Peron and Pinochet. Nowadays, Blanca Luz is a symbol of women’s emancipation in Latin America. The tales of her life are varied and dissimilar, the testimonies of those who knew her, full of contradictions.
