James Cameron's Story of Science Fiction

Cameron and other top filmmakers talk about sci-fi. Some guests just sit there nodding, while others reveal amusing moments from behind the scenes or present interesting points of view. The excerpts from interviews with Asimov and the rare film clips are excellent. But it seems like Jim is getting paid for a good chat about what we talk about every day at the pub. And that’s another reason to tip your hat to him. (24/03/2020)

The sci-fi genre is a personal favorite for me; I really love films in this realm. So, when I saw that James Cameron made a documentary featuring top industry names discussing various interesting aspects of famous movies, including behind-the-scenes stuff, I couldn’t miss it. In the end, the six-part series intrigued me quite a bit, but I suppose I expected a little more (on the other hand, it’s just a discussion, so perhaps higher expectations weren’t entirely warranted). I definitely recommend it to all cinema enthusiasts; everyone will find something for themselves. For me, it’s a solid 7/10. (30/12/2020)
