Acá y acullá

Within the framework of a documentary workshop run by the Jrimian Armenian High School in Valentín Alsina, in the outskirts of Buenos Aires, Hernán Khourián proposes various exercises to his students exploring the memory of the genocide of which their ancestors were victims, on its centennial, and the Armenian diaspora that is present in Argentina. In this way, the young people undertake the work of keeping alive the stories that each generation passes on in its own way, reconstructing them through various sources and forms of documenting, in order to give new meaning to the successive struggles that preceded them and the powerful ideas that must sustain them into the future. Along with the documentary work of these students, the film adds the lucid reflections of writer Ana Arzoumanian, creating a mosaic that represents the various notions of a community in its continuous search for truth and justice.
