Cobra, een opstand tegen de orde

In 1961 Jan Vrijman made his first appearance as a filmmaker with De werkelijkheid van Karel Appel, a film portrait of the Cobra painter. More than twenty-five years later, in Cobra, een opstand tegen de orde Vrijman investigates what has happened to the ideals of the Cobra movement. The film contains interviews with people like Karel Appel, Constant, Corneille, Pierre Alechinsky, Egill Jacobsen and Henry Heerup. Vrijman has incorporated a lot of paintings and archive material to document the development of Cobra. (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam)
