The French can do it better. The premise is interesting, the main character is a doctor who works as an emergency physician during the Christmas holidays, he accidentally injures his back in an encounter with a pizza delivery man, who now has to fill in for the doctor when he treats patients. Rather a black comedy, there aren't many wisecracks and it could have been sillier and wackier, but it was passable for one viewing. 55% ()
An inoffensive and digestible French film that could definitely do better, but it’s probably not to be missed. A doctor with an injured leg can't walk, so he's replaced on nightly round-the-clock house duty by a food delivery boy who receives instructions via an earpiece on what to do and how to do it. Occasionally there are comic situations, occasionally the film puts a smile on the viewer's face, but unfortunately the humour is not so effective and strong as to provoke fits of laughter, and overall the film feels like a B-movie without much ambition. Entertaining, not boring, but France can do better. ()
