Tito Material

Found material: film images which show Tito in diverse contexts: at public duties, meeting Partisans, private moments such as shaving, etc. Place found: a destroyed cinema in Mostar, Bosnia in 1996. The film construction using an optical printer is clearly also a counter-concept to more narrative models: the scars of war are not primarily visible at the representational level, but rather through damage to the film material itself due to the rubble, damp, and even the filmʼs editing.
