The Wonderful Affair

Harika is a child whose Kurdish family was set refuge from Siirt to Manisa at the end of 1980’s. With her own words, she is a transsexual feeling female spirit in his own body since early childhood. She lives in Izmir since 2000 and makes a living by prostitution. This work is a multiple media project realised by Harika (literally translated as wonderful), posing for Tahir Ün’s camera with all her self-confidence and courage. It suggests the audience an unjudgemental stance for homophobia. (Madrid International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival)
