Conteúdos(1)

In the background of this pixilation animation triptych stands the director’s food phobia from his childhood. Food consumption is ironically depicted as never-ending mechanical process (Breakfast), uncontrollable animal instinct (Lunch) or destructive hedonist autocannibalism (Dinner). (Summer Film School)

inglês Disgust versus excellent punchlines, disgust and absurdity against Jan Kraus. In other words, a decent breakfast, a tasty lunch, and an unfinished dinner. And for a long time, my farewell to Švankmajer, who only speaks to me from a very large distance. ()

inglês Švankmajer has made a lot of outstanding short films, but his Jídlo (Food) is my favorite among all those wonderful plays. I have a very special relationship with food, consuming it is my second favorite activity. This film is not only a fountain of imagination and delightful scenes, but it is also a venomous satire on consumerist lifestyle. There is not a single unnecessary scene or shot, it is an original concept with artistic execution and animation. Švankmajer has made a masterful film that belongs in the top ranks of animated creations. Overall impression: 100%. ()

inglês Jan Švankmajer once again demonstrates that his font of ideas is nowhere near drying up. I wouldn't have had any of the food he served up here, but I had a great time. Mostly probably at lunch with Jan Kraus, although all the dishes were almost too "nutritious" for my taste. (100%) ()
