It takes a lot of courage to call this film a musical. Throughout, the main character sings once in the woods without music and then dances to music without words in a firehouse. Casting non-dancing firemen who are then supposed to play and dance to the music makes for one hell of a spectacle - perhaps the worst dance performance in cinema history. The whole film is shallow, basically moving nothing forward except the relationship between the firefighters. The flashforward or flashback to the future is not related to the whole film at all, it is a kind of embellishment of the film that doesn't work and makes no dramatic sense. The director of the film, João Pedro Rodrigues, should rather consider becoming an assistant director again...

An adventurous journey of self-discovery, first sexual experiences and above all a chance to escape the stereotype that the main character experiences every day. Elephant is an absolutely brilliant film that conveys simple ideas in a complex way, with stunning visuals and performances. Even if you are from a rural area where the environment is homophobic and stereotypical, it is possible to have dreams and make them come true. The film gives courage, hope and motivation to be happy. Even though the film cost around 150 000 EUR, it is evident that even for a small amount of money one can make a quality film. I highly recommend everyone to watch the film, because it is perhaps the best queer film I have ever seen, really!

A slow but emotional film. The main character doesn't really try to reach the goal and rather just drifts through the story. We mainly follow his emotional state and how he deals with what he has witnessed. The film isn't bad, but it doesn't bring anything groundbreaking. The best thing about it is that the lead couple could have been anyone and not two men, it could have easily been a male-female couple and it would still have worked perfectly.

No matter what anyone says, this series is successful mainly because of the way it works with genres. The first two episodes were hell for me, but after I accepted the creators' game I started to enjoy it. A lot of things don't make sense and you wonder what the hell is going on, but that's the charm of this series. Even though the series quite purposefully attack different groups of people, it's especially frustrating for those who see themselves in it and can't admit it. This series are not something one would watch out of boredom, but as a look into working with genres and satire, it's great.

The Norwegians confirm again that they can do teenage dramas. The opposites of two characters, Sara and Jonas, collide and we watch how they manage to (in)connect their worlds. Although the series doesn't have a famous cast, it impresses above all with interesting cinematography and an unusual story that reflects today's society. Can love heal wounds and reject the harsh truth about the other?

This CT project was a huge success. After the release of TBH I was worried that this would be another batch of unrealistic dialogue and stupid characters. But the opposite is true. Although the series are quite unnecessarily drawn out, it is a good watch. The handling of the rape theme is nuts and hence the makers have done very well. I must point out the casting as the characters are perfectly casted and the young actors are just great! Go ahead, more such great projects!

Oh boy, this film was a huge disappointment. Gritt is a character with no sympathy whatsoever, just drifting through life, her only goal being to make her performance happen. The whole film is very oddly shot in a mockumentary style, which doesn't work at all, and the whole thing is mainly pulled through dialogue windows of zero value. For two hours of film time there is no action, no passion. I didn't finish the last half hour because I didn't really care how it ended (if at all)... Still, I have to give a shout out to Marte Wexelsen Goksøyr's performance, because she's really great!

You have to accept the game that the filmmakers and the characters in the film represent. Then it's a great spectacle that I don't think anyone has ever experienced before. The story itself isn't great, but it still outweighs the originality and moral overreach the film is trying to convey. The film just has it all - humor, drama, musical elements and quirkiness. Best to turn the movie on the TV, popcorn in hand and spend a pleasant evening.

As the director himself said before the screening, "the film is long". It is, and to top it all off, it is extremely boring, with no momentum or anything the viewer can relate to. I walked out of the screening because I would have passed out or rooted in my seat by the end of the film.

The Greek Weird Wave is really weird, but this is an extreme. I feel like the editors took the footage and randomly threw it into 80 minutes. But I have to give credit to the acting and the fictional world the director has created. I probably need to watch the film again for it to begin to make sense to me, but the dislike is higher for now.
