A very effective Bond film. It's got action, humour and pizzazz. Only the theme tune was, to put it politely, bad.

Chris Columbus’s film is a bit better than The Philosopher's Stone and has better visual effects (though far from perfect), but the greatly exaggerated running time and the weak lead actor, who started to bore me after about thirty minutes, bring it down to mediocrity. If it weren't for the brilliant Kenneth Branagh and Jason Isaacs, it probably would have been even worse.

Quite serviceable as an average slasher, but almost insulting as a conclusion to the Halloween franchise.

Call me names, hit me, insult me, but this is the best action comedy I've ever seen. The only competition for me is The Last Boy Scout. But this one is different. A tribute to crappy movies with great lines, crazy action, perfect cast, and fun from the first to the last minute.

One of the few “stupid” movies that is neither unnecessarily vulgar nor unnecessarily dumb. A gem in the dumb comedy genre. If you just want to laugh, this is a great choice.

The one star is for Bruce Payne and for the Donnie Yen vs Adrian Paul fight scene, where you can see who really choreography (and I also get the impression that Yen directed himself, which explains why he's so much better than the others). The rest of it is terrible.

I'll admit this one got me. As always, great atmosphere (I managed to nibble on the Encyclopedia of Fantastic Film while watching it), decent Morricone music, a pretty good Kurt Russell, really good visual effects for its time and above all a brilliant ending. I love this movie!

For me one of the biggest surprises of this year. Great cast, great action and great atmosphere and when I found out after a few minutes that the film was a rip-off of my favourite Assault on Precinct 13 (maybe it's a remake, but I wouldn't bet on it), I was in heaven. A nonstop action flick with a great atmosphere that's well worth it. The French know how.

One of the few romantic movies I've ever finished. And surprisingly (for me) I liked it. Michael Douglas is good, so is Annette Bening, and the rest of the cast is worth it too. A cool script that uses a few clichés of the genre, but still offers more than a classic romance. Which is good.

I love stuff like this. Carl Weathers is awesome, the action is pretty good and there's some good dry wisecracks. Yeah, it's a B-movie, but it's a great B-movie. And I love it!
