Biografia

Edgar Wright is a film director, screenwriter, producer, and actor. As a teen in the 1980s he shot several short amateur films before making his feature-length debut at age 20 in 1994 with the low-budget A Fistful of Fingers. An important milestone in his career was his work for television, in particular, as director of the cult series Spaced (1999-2001), on which he collaborated with Simon Pegg and Jessica Stevenson.

He first gained wider recognition as the creator of the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, in which he toyed with and exploded various genre conventions: Shaun of the Dead (2004), Hot Fuzz (2007) and The World's End (2013). Equally subversive were his short film Don't (2007), which was included in Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's Grindhouse, and his comic-book adaptation Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010).
