Alan Tudyk

A veteran of more than two dozen television shows and 30 features, ALAN TUDYK easily traverses drama and comedy with memorable performances in live-action, animation and video games. His voice was featured in Disney's Oscar®- and Golden Globe®-nominated feature "Wreck-It Ralph," garnering an Annie Award for his work as King Candy.

Tudyk starred in "Welcome to Me," the comedy from Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's Gary Sanchez Productions that stars Kristin Wiig as a woman with borderline personality disorder who buys her own cable access show in her obsession for fame, alienating friends and family. The film also stars Ferrell, Tim Robbins, Wes Bentley and James Marsden.

Tudyk took part on the critically-acclaimed ABC single-camera comedy "Suburgatory." The series, about a single father who moves from big city Manhattan to the suburbs with his daughter, follows "Modern Family" on Wednesday nights.

In summer 2013, Tudyk reprised his role as Pastor Veal on the Netflix revival of the critically-acclaimed comedy "Arrested Development."  Tudyk first appeared in season two of the Emmy®-winning cult single-cam and recurred across two shows during the 15-episode relaunch. Television credits include "Firefly" and "Dollhouse" for creator Joss Whedon, and "Strangers with Candy."

Tudyk starred in the Warner Bros. film "42," a story about Jackie Robinson, the first African American to play in American major league baseball. Tudyk played Ben Chapman, a former player turned manager who was adamantly opposed to Robinson's entry into the league. Directed by Brian Helgeland and featuring Harrison Ford as pioneering Dodger executive Branch Rickey, "42" is available on Blu-ray and DVD. His credits also include "28 Days," "Knocked Up," "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story," "Death at a Funeral" (original British version), "A Knight's Tale," and "Tucker and Dale Versus Evil."  Additional film credits include "Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter," "3:10 to Yuma,"  "I, Robot," "Serenity," "Wonder Boys," "Rx" and "Beautiful Boy."

Tudyk's first film role was that of a hyper-paranoid mental patient with Robin Williams in "Patch Adams." His voice has been featured in "Ice Age," "Ice Age: The Meltdown," " Ice Age: Continental Drift," "Robot Chicken" and "Alvin & the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked," "Family Guy" and "Batman: The Brave and the Bold," among others. Tudyk also appeared as characters in the hit video games "HALO 3" and "HALO 3: ODST."

On Broadway, Tudyk appeared opposite Kristin Chenoweth in "Epic Proportions," played Lancelot with the original cast in Monty Python's "Spamalot" and had the lead role of Peter in "Prelude to a Kiss," opposite John Mahoney.

Tudyk is a graduate of the prestigious Juilliard Conservatory and grew up in Plano, Texas.
