Catti Edfeldt

Catti has lived and worked with movies since she was ten years old, first as a child actress, later as an assistant director, then casting and directing. She was considering becoming a veterinarian or a nurse, but her grades were never enough for veterinarian school, and hospitals made her faint. She has been an assistant director for Lasse Hallström, Olle Hellborn and Tage Danielsson when they directed the film versions of Astrid Lindgren's books. Her directorial debut was in 1988 with the television series "Mimmi", based on Viveca Lärn's book of the same name. After that, her direction credits include "Sixten" - for which she was nominated for the Swedish Film Award Guldbaggen as Best Director - and Eva & Adam.
