Óscar Menéndez

Biografia

Mexican documentary filmmaker and photographer. He studied at the San Carlos National School of Plastic Arts and later entered the Prague Film School. With a remarkable career he has worked as director and producer of film and television, as well as researcher and organizer of festivals. Stands out in his professional career to be the Creative Vice Principal at Channel 13, to be Head of Short Film Production at Churubusco Studios and the founding of the Ethnographic INI File along with the filmmaker Gonzalo Martinez. Among his films are highlighted Kalala, Mexico Bárbaro, Malcolm Lowrey en Mexico and Historia de un documento, film commissioned by the French Public Radio and Television, which recorded the 1968 movement in Mexico.
