Biografia

Francesco Patierno is an Italian director and screenwriter. His first feature-length movie, Pater Familias, was shown in competition at the Berlin Film Festival in 2003. He has worked in both television and cinema over the years. In 2012 La guerra dei vulcani was presented at festivals including Venice, Toronto, London and New York. In 2017, Naples ’44, was in competition at the Rome Film Festival, and his other film Diva!, with eight of Italy’s finest female actors, was officially selected for the Venice Film Festival and won the Nastro d’Argento for Best Documentary Film. Camorra (2018) premiered at the Venice Film Festival.
