Tate Taylor

Tate Taylor (Jackson, Mississippi, USA) graduated from The University of Mississippi. In 2008, he wrote and directed his fi rst feature, Pretty Ugly People. His next fi lm, The Help (2011), was nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Motion Picture, Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role (Viola Davis) and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role (Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer, with Spencer taking home the coveted statue). As an actor, Taylor has a long history of rendering outstanding performances; most recently he was seen in the acclaimed fi lm, Winter's Bone (2010).
