Biografia
Lisa Gerig studied film in Zurich and Geneva, majoring in editing. Her thesis film, Zaungespräche (2014), was a radically subjective look at the situation of people held in Zurich’s deportation detention center and won several awards. Die Anhörung (2023), her feature debut, was critically acclaimed and won the top prize at the 2024 Solothurn Film Festival as well as the Swiss Film Award for Best Documentary in 2024. Gerig works as a freelance filmmaker in Zurich and Cologne.
