Fermín Muguruza

Fermin Muguruza (Irun, 1963) founded the bands Kortatu, Negu Gorriak and Kontrabanda, the labels Esan Ozenki and Talka and has made numerous recordings. He directed the documentary Checkpoint Rock: Canciones desde Palestina (2009), closing film of the San Sebastian Human Rights Film Festival screened in Zinemira that same year, and Next Music Station, a series about today's music in several Arab countries, also screened in Zinemira in 2011. In 2012 he presented in Zabaltegi Zuloak, a film which enjoyed extensive national and international circulation. In 2013 he helmed, with Daniel Gómez No More Tour, a documentary about his last tour.
