Biografia
A distinctive figure in Balkans cinema, Serbian actor Lazar Ristovski is not just known for his numerous screen roles but also as a successful screenwriter, director and producer. In 1995, he played the lead role in Emir Kusturica's Palme d'Or-winning comedy drama Underground.
Ristovski put a lot of energy into his directorial debut The White Suit, writing the screenplay, playing the lead and producing the film, which was selected for the Critics' Week at Cannes. His most recent film in a starring role –Train Driver's Diary by director Milos Radovic – was Serbia's submission for the Best Foreign Language Oscar.
