Gene Autry and Pat Buttram help introduce this 1949 film from William Witney (The Far Frontier) in which Roy, who's subbing for an injured sheriff, trails an incognito escaped convict, Del Roberts (Douglas Fowley). Posing as "Walter P. Johnson," Roberts muscles into a scheme newspaper editor Martin Masters (Robert Emmett Keane) to steal oil-rich land under the fish hatchery owned by his brother Russell (Lucien Littlefield).
