City of Industry é um filme de gangsters da velha geração. Uma história simples (hoje em dia bastante previsível), um campo bem definido para os personagens, uma direção habilmente artesanal. Nela, o realizador John Irvin presta homenagem aos filmes que adorava na sua juventude. A melhor coisa do filme é o elenco. Todos fazem boas interpretações dramáticas, Stephen Dorff é um grande psicopata sem princípios, Harvey Keitel é o homem duro leal ideal. É um bom filme, mas fica longe da força dos melhores filmes do género (mais recentemente, Dia de Treino).
