Bucky is a 16-year-old teenager with a phobia of blood who dreams of becoming a movie director. When a meteorite crashes into his backyard and turns his father into a brain-eating zombie, Bucky jumps at the chance. Accompanied by his mute best friend, a sarcastic production runner and an actress with diva-like mannerisms, he will go on to make history's first-ever horror film with a real zombie. Para uma comédia de terror sobre cineastas amadores, o filme lida com um nível de falta de humor nunca antes visto (a maioria dos personagens é irritante ao extremo) e com várias fraquezas na narrativa, desde extrema ingenuidade nas motivações, diálogos e ações dos personagens até inúmeras incoerências na sequência dos acontecimentos. A tentativa de transformá-lo em um metafilme sobre a produção de filmes é vazia, resultando apenas em uma parvoíce incoerente e estúpida. Algumas ideias divertidas e cenas engraçadamente sangrentas aparecem apenas no final, até então, a agonia que se estende é a impressão predominante.

Why on earth do they have to stretch this dilettante crap to 100 minutes? All You Need Is Blood is the story of a 16 year old boy who is determined to make an amateur film, taking advantage of the fact that his father has just turned into a zombie. Nothing in the film makes sense, the events happen completely randomly and the behaviour of the characters lacks any grounding in reality (plus the main character is an extremely insufferable idiot). It's a bit of fun about five minutes before the end, when there's a tiny gorefest, but that's really not enough after the previous hour and a half of meandering misery.
