Estilisticamente muito semelhante a A Vida não é um Sonho de Aronofsky, só que não tão sério. Spun tem mais a ver com entreter a geração de Tarantino com um humor feroz e decadente. A vaidade inicial dos encantos visuais desvanece-se gradualmente e o filme começa a inspirar-se principalmente nos atores, que são afinal a sua principal atração. John Leguizamo, Mena Suvari e Peter Stormare são OK; mas Jason Schwartzman, Brittany Murphy e Mickey Rourke são ÓTIMOS. Atrevo-me a dizer que alguns dos seus melhores papéis. A propósito, Rourke interpreta aqui um fã de wrestling de caravana. (14/03/2009)
