Háry János, the old veteran is telling his stories in the pub without end. In Galicia he found himself on the Russian border with his faithful lover, Örzse. He pulls the guard cottage to the Hungarian side, so that Mária Lujza and Ebelasztin can travel to Vienna in peace. Örzse and Háry are both in the emperor's service. Mária Lujza falls in love with the handsome Háry, so Ebalasztin makes Napoleon declare war. Leading his soldiers, Háry beats the enemy. He is appointed general, but does not accept Mária Lujza's hand. He returns home to Nagyabony with Örzse as a veteran. The old Háry remains alone with his stories. (texto oficial do distribuidor)
