This is the story of the first love of three grammar school students about to take their final exams. Pista falls in love with Sárika, a 16-year-old girl, Gyula is infatuated with Erzsébet, an experienced woman, while Laci loves Ferike, prima donna with the local theatre. Laci buys his lady a precious piece of jewellery, which gets him into trouble. His friends ask Ferike to return the present, which upsets Laci so much that he challenges Pista into a duel, in which Pista is wounded. The prima donna, who is responsible for all these misfortunes, is booed off stage by the other students in the boys' class during a theatrical performance. The scandal gets them to the point of not being allowed to take their final exams, but their form-master stands by them in the conflict. (texto oficial do distribuidor)
