Uma epopeia com bom elenco e visualmente bem filmada, em belos exteriores cazaques-chineses. Mas infelizmente baseado num argumento que é apenas ligeiramente mais significativo, consistente e cativante do que 10.000 a.C. de Emmerich foi. Ah...

Surprisingly, it has amazing visuals, it's just a shame about the very crappy script. It's not so much that it doesn't stick too closely to historical facts, but rather that it has nothing to offer. Too little plot and the often ridiculous idealization of the main character makes the film stumble pretty bad. But it's quite nice to watch.

Again a piece of history this time from Mongolia. The film beautifully captures the life of the Mongols from children to adults and the birth of their greatest warlord Genghis Khan. Filmed believably, there is surprisingly enough action and blood, the pacing is decent and on the plus side it is a revenge drama, my favourite sub-genre. 80%.
