Não é realmente o horror ou o homicídio que pode parecer à primeira vista. Stockwell não trabalha com elementos de horror ou momentos de susto, e trata Turistas como um drama realista que assusta o espetador com a sua simples intransigência e insensibilidade. Não pode estar em causa a sobrecarga de pensamento que Fim-de-Semana Alucinante de Boorman teve, afinal de contas estamos a cavalgar a onda do thriller de petisco, mas os atores de qualidade e trabalho decente com atmosfera e cenário fazem o seu trabalho. É apenas uma pena o final rápido, é o único que parece um filme de homicídio que não precisa de terminar e concluir nada e que se contenta com uma tomada dos sobreviventes que saem do local com alívio. Well, it could have been a decent massacre with detailed demonstrations of the internal arrangement of human anatomy, but apparently the creators were a bit scared of that and instead put a Brazilian pseudo-moralist in the role of the biggest villain. From his fiery speech, the movie basically stopped entertaining me because, although I am not one of the unfortunate ones who have to wander through life burdened by the immense weight of their movable and immovable property, I am against nationalizing both property and bodily organs. Whether a Marxist-Leninist theorist or a surgeon philosophizes about similar matters, both are ripe for a blow with a blunt object before they move from words to actions. (23/04/2022)
