Roy (Woody Harrelson) and Jessie (Emily Mortimer) are the perfect American couple traveling from Beijing to Moscow on the legendary Trans-Siberian Express train. The two strike a bond with another couple, Carlos (Eduardo Noriega) and Abby (Kate Mara), who are not exactly as they appear. Unwittingly, Roy and Jessie are caught in a web of drug trafficking and murderous deceit when all four become targets of ex-KGB detective Grinko's (Ben Kingsley) investigation. português Suspensão e preocupação cuidadosamente construídas num ambiente não convencional e fortemente atmosférico para um filme do género de thriller. Atuação e realização excelentemente executadas. Se o argumento, que de resto brinca bem com a psicologia dos personagens, tivesse inventado algo inovador dentro das regras do género, poderia ter obtido 4*. ()

inglês One clear good thing is the gradually growing chilling atmosphere that permeates the whole film. This is not only due to the engaging cold Siberian landscape, which gives the film the right drive, but also to the slowly escalating story, starting with a major turning point about halfway through, which culminates in a fight for bare life and one brutal torture scene, which I found physically uncomfortable. Thanks to the good performances of the actors, I was interested in the fate of the protagonists, I lived with them and even envied them a bit the initial romance of travelling by train. Brad Anderson has done a good job, though in a slightly different way than others expected (see the reviews here). ()
